Twosome Tuesday: My blurpy little sister

Pictures of my lil blurpy sister!

I like these "tree-dee" u/s pictures of her. Sure, you can't really see her face in either picture, but I love the neat things that she's already doing!

So in this picture above, she has already taken the initiative to grab her foot with her hand. She somehow also managed to squeeze her other leg AND an elbow in the picture!

In this picture above, she is sucking her thumb. She seems pretty content, although it seems a little awkward to be sucking your thumb with an open hand, fingers all spread out!

I love that I can see what she looks like already! Do you think she looks more like mommy or daddy? See my earlier posts to see what mommy and daddy look like!

Seeing "tree-dee" u/s pictures of our blurpy little sister reminds me of my babysitting days. Will have them again?

For Meezer Monday, here's a picture of me and Marie just over 3 years ago. Boy, does time fly!

I picked this picture to show how responsible Meezers are. I guess I was probably babysitting her at the time, although I seem to remember being rather annoyed at her being so close to me, not even a month after she and her brother Donny took over *my* house!

I think tho I will be happy when my lil blurpy sister joins us! I know at least that she not going to get in my face....yet.

A very special Twosome Tuesday

This is me and my big sis angel kitty Missy. In fact, she was only ever 6.5 lbs max, and you can see that I easily dwarfed her mini-size.

Missy has been to the Rainbow Bridge now for 3 years, and I miss her very much. When Donny and Marie drive me crazy, I miss her even more.

So I participated in this Twosome Tuesday, just to remember my big sis Missy.

Thanks for sharing this moment with me, in memory of her.

As a big sister, not just to some pesky kitty siblings, but also a blurpy sister, I'm on the alert.

Let me tell you something: I knew something was happening to Mommy WAY before Donny and Marie knew anything.

Maybe it was her needing so many naps. Maybe it was the way she went through food so fast. Maybe it was that baby bump which no one saw but me. And maybe it's because I have experience with babies and children in one of my previous lives before they rescued me. But of course, I'm not gonna tell. My secret, my rulez.

Thank goodness my Siamese diva attitude stands me in good stead.

I am going crazy without any online time to commiserate with my furriends, Meezer and everycatelse.

So to punish my mommy who should give me this online time on demand and without question, I am making sure to drag her dirty socks into the living room where everyone can see them.

Especially this past week as she has her mommy and her sister visiting. I want to show them what a BAD MOMMY she is!!

*sigh*

Despite the great effort in showing her the error of her ways...unfortunately, I will not be able to get online regularly until June.

It's enough to drive any Meezer to drag dirty underwear around the house.

Yes, I think that is a much more fitting punishment for my mommy....

Take care and make sure you keep your mommies and/or daddies in line!!!!

No mommy, you may not read your mail until you have paid me sufficient attention to make up for the lack thereof since after Christmas. I don't care you were busy or had to travel or anything. Since dragging socks around don't seem to work anymore, I must start taking these extreme measures.

I love this picture that my auntie took almost two years ago. First of all, I made sure to wreck the picture by closing my eyes. That almost always disappoints whichever bean was annoying enough to take my picture, and gives me gurreat satisfaction. However, I also like this picture because it looks like I'm sitting on a magic floating leather pillow, when in fact it is just a leather ottoman that matches daddy's leather "command chair".

I like to think that I am daddy's right hand meezer!

Ok, ok, after INTENSE pressure from my mommy and my lil sis, I revised my Meezer Rule to:

If your picture is on an item, even in the slightest way, then you are fully entitled to flaunt the fact that the said item is YOURS and yours alone. Regardless of what mommy or anyone says.

[Actually, I appreciate that they both pointed out the error of my ways. I nearly cut short my very own inherent meezer rights!!!]

Anyways, we really dig these 2008 Calendars of us. Mommy *finally* got around to doing them this year. A few years too late, if you ask me. *sniff, sniff* She could have made a calendar that was ALL ABOUT ME a few years ago, but she only got 'round to doing this calendar thing now. I think I will drag a few more socks around to punish her and express my extreme disappointment.

I'm Raising a Paw for the MEOW Foundation as my entry in Gaius' wonderful contest that he's holding. I am doing this for this charity because it is a cat rescue organization, which traps feral and stray cats and helps them get adopted. The best part: they are a no-kill cat shelter, will save every cat in the streets of Calgary and get them adopted!

I believe so strongly in this organization, I have got all 4 of my paws for them!

Thursday 13: The Singing Duo's Gotcha Day

Once upon a time, two lil white furballs suddenly showed up one day.
Can't believe it's been two years since then.

Happy Gotcha Day, Donny and Marie. For this week's Thursday 13, here are 13 ways you have changed my life:

1. You made me babysit...BOTH of you.

2. You kept me wide awake as much as possible with your many shenanigans.

3. You also kept me moving by following me around....TOO MUCH.

4. But I eventually learned it was ok to be followed around by cats that showed proper respect and admiration for me.

5. I learned to assert myself. Frequently.

6. I taught you what were the best foods worth starving for.

7. You taught me how to (play)fight.

8. I showed you how much fun it was to be outside.

9. I shared my gurreat dislike of woofies.

10. But then you showed me that Titus is a fine woofie furriend to have.

11. Especially you, Marie, you showed me how we can take on foes many times our size, hehe. Be they woofies or kitties, you made sure to let 'em know that don't belong in OUR house.

12. We learned to share (somewhat) when it came to mommy and daddy. Although I still get first dibs on their attention.

13. Most of all, you taught me that we can love one another...even show our affection for each other. Although don't you get any funny ideas.....

I wouldn't trade my siblings for any other in the world.

When you want show possession of several items (esp large ones that you can't easily move around), strategically position yourself to be in a position to defend 'em all!!

For example, see how I want to own both the box and my Gizzy quilt?? Notice how I position myself in such a way so that I can jump quickly to either item and defend my claim??

Most importantly....notice how neither Donny OR Marie are in sight??

One of my favourite spots to stay on the alert is always right by the doorway. In the olden days - when Missy was still around - I played being a gatekeeper...that is, I positioned myself and watch Missy get really upset when she didn't want to, yet had to "cross my path"...and of course, I'd try to cuff her. Hehe!

Now, I just do to keep a close eye on Donny and Marie...so that I can stay out of their way and not attract their attention to me. It's highly unbecoming when either come along to touch me "coz they felt like it".

Cherish Meme

I was nominated by my lil sis Marie to do the Cherish meme. Adan created this wonderful meme to bring our love to the gentle Miss Peach! As Adan said: "She always makes us know what love is!" I couldn't agree more!
So here are the rules of the Cherish meme: 1. tell us what is the most sweetest warm thing you will do to your mommy (what is the sweetest thing that your kitty will do to you) 2. And, hug your mommy, tightly... (and, hug your kitty....tightly...) 3. Tag your good friend... 4. Leave your computer, and continuing hug each other...

The sweetest warm thing I will do for mommy is to be her lapcat. Every day I make sure that at least part of the day (or evening), her lap is warmed by yours truly. Not only that, whenever I am on her lap, whether I'm demanding scritches, hanging out or curled up on her lap fast asleep, I make sure to purr real loud. Also I make sure to knead her knees, tho she doesn't seem to appreciate *that* as much.

I want to tag my "mommy" Cheysuli and my furriend Skeezix for this meme.

My purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrz these days tho all go to Miss Peach, in hopes that she will have a little more food and drink, and most importantly be comfortable and happy and loved.

I take gurreat pride in my fuzziness . I realize siamese kitties are supposed to have short, smooth, sleek furs that highlight their long and slim frame, so this makes me look rather pouffy and big.... but let me tell you, I have the same long slim frame of a meezer and the purrsonality of one, too!

I don't mind being a unique fuzzy meezer. I like to think it makes me very furry and cuddly. But only when *I* want to be cuddly.

A siamese kitty, after all, must maintain some dignity.

I know, I know, this week is a little messed up...first I get my Meezer Monday post in late, and now I'm posting Photo Hunters Saturday early! What's goin' on??

Well, daddy and mommy have decided to disappear again this weekend and leave us alone with their friend who I don't care to meet. So here is my Photo Hunters post, now:

My hoo-ha's are unfortunately smelly. *embarrassed* So - like the picture above - I'm always having to check "down there" to make sure it isn't, well....bad.

More fortunately, however, I am fastidiously clean, always grooming, always using the litterbox, and always making sure I don't get poop on me.

Best of all, despite being a smelly cat, mommy and daddy still love me lots. Even if I like to stick my butt in their faces when they pet me. ;)

Here's a favourite picture of mommy's from 2.5 years ago. She says it's one of her favourites because of the sweet expression on my face...but little did she know that in fact I was looking into the kitchen to see if there was any chicken for me!!

Considering today to be Thanksgiving, I am really thankful for mommy and daddy adopting me and loving me and letting me be myself again, by acceding to my demands...most of the time, anyways. ;)

As soon as mommy and daddy came home from Ottawa, we raced to the computer and found out about Jasmine's sad news. We all miss her, but I miss her the most. She was a crusty ole big sister who secretly had a soft spot for our bloggysphere's darling Millie. As a big sis, we were similar in these ways. I will always miss reading Jasmine's words of wisdom.

Thursday 13: 13 Reasons Why Socks Travel

Everytime a sock ends up somewhere in the house that it shouldn't be, mommy and daddy always look to me for answers! Hey! I'm not responsible for YOUR socks!! *glares at them*

But, thanks to many of my furriends earlier in the week, we have discovered many reasons why socks seemingly wander all over da house. For this week's Thursday 13, I have enumerated the 13 different ways, as explained by some of my furriends:

1. We know that socks have feet and they travel to our sides all by themselves!! [Samantha and Tigger]

2. Yes, socks are attracted to kitties, especially meezers! [Tara, my soul sister]

3. I am certain that the sock put itself there! [Daisy]

4. We fink socks haf got majjikal propertees and can move around on their own wivout anyone seeing them. [Eric and Flynn]

5. Socks just want to be near the Lady-cat! [Mickey]

6. messy humans i reckon...not like us careful meezers. [Storm]

7. I think it's normal. Our feet get cold. [Cheysuli, my mommy!]

8. ah the aliens broke in and deposited socks!!! yeah! that's it! [Sammy]

9. I know that sock just traveled there by itself. Yep. [Earl Grey]

10. I think socks know secret ways of travelling around the house. [Karen Jo of Kitty Limericks fame.]

11. You were bringing it to MomBean to make into a sock kitty? [Monty Q. Cat]

12. And wowie wow, how coffee stirrurs travel, too, and toilet papur cores, and sometimes efun Daddy's keys! [According to the words of Chairman Mao: Everything travels!]

So there you have it! 13 reasons why socks travel...and I am only MAYBE one out of these 13 reasons (although that is really debatable....).

With so many reasons, don't you think mommy and daddy could be more reasonable...at least consider the first 12 reasons before blaming me???

Sorry about the glaring picture yesterday. I'm not mad at you, just at mommy and daddy. I often find many other reasons to get annoyed, it's my right as a meezer, you know!

For this week's Thursday 13, here are some more reasons I get annoyed:

1. The catnip pillow has Marie's slobber. ALL OVER IT.

2. The flashy-flash on the camera.

3. Food that I did not want.

4. Not getting food that I *really* want.

5. Donny picking a fight with me.

6. Donny and/or Marie avidly sniffing my butt.

7. Marie leaning in and rubbing me as she walks by.

8. Not getting chicken.

9. Not getting salmon.

10. Being ignored.

11. Not allowed outside.

12. Not being picked up on demand.

13. Mommy and/or Daddy going away to work/vacation/doesn't matter.

If you were me, wouldn't YOU be annoyed too.

No, mommy rarely buys in now, as there are only her and daddy. But she loves watermelon and she makes sure to buy some whenever she has company over for a BBQ!!

No blinds and a cat perch or equivalent at every window. That's only fair, don't you think???

Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?

Clean.

What is in your fridge?

NOT. CAT. FOOD.

We don't really like bread, so no bread for us, thanks!!

What is on top of your refrigerator?

I dunno, but Marie makes frequent visits up there! I'll have to ask her sometime.

We don't have a shower curtain, coz it's an enclosed shower stall.

Two - neither of which we're allowed to reach.

No plastic, just glass. But mommy won't let us drink out of that, phooey.

No, mommy says it's too cold now.

Yes it is. I should know, I inspected it myself on da weekend!!

Well, I actually hate the vacuum, so you'll never see me do it!

We eat dry food, that's how we brush our teeth!

What color is your toothbrush?

Lesseee....if you consider our dry food a "toothbrush" it's brown.

Do you have a welcome mat on your front porch?

We have a grass woven mat on the outside and a dark blue mat on the inside. No welcome signs tho!

Is there anything under your bed?

Of course!! We like to hide our favourite toys under all the beds!!!

Chore you hate doing the most?

We don't do chores. That's for humans!

Well...I guess the house itself is rather retro, considering it was built in 1812. One of the things in the house that's original are the windows. Mommy and daddy love them and can't stand the thought of changing them to new energy efficient windows coz they love da old style!

Do you have a separate room that you use as an office?

Yes, it's on the main floor and it used to be the family room.

How many mirrors are in your home?

Three - one on the closet door in the foyer; one in the bathroom, of course; and one stand-alone in mommy and daddy's bedroom.

What color are your walls?

Living room - yellow; dining room and family room - green; kitchen - glossy white; second storey rooms - off-white.

What does your home smell like right now?

Not sure, but mommy wants to change da smell apparently!! So I guess it smells "dirty".

What kind of pickles (if any) are in your refrigerator right now?

Sweet baby dills.

Not me, but Donny did once!

Only two.

Sock-and-toy style: Donny and Marie leaves all da toys lying around, and I complement them with various dirty socks I can find from the laundry hamper!

I don't really care, actually.

One on every level: basement, main and second-storey.

In case of fire, what are the items in your house which you’d grab if you only could make one quick trip?

Hmmm...I'd have to say one each of mommy's and daddy's dirty socks. That way, until I can find mommy and daddy, I will have their scent to make me feel better.

I was trying for the softer look in this photo, but as you can clearly see, I couldn't help but look accusingly at mommy and daddy for (a) not letting me blog the past two weeks, (b) for running away on the long weekend and (c) interrupting my beauty regimen (grooming, of course!) so that they can take photos on their new camera.

Middle Name Meme

Storm has tagged me for the Middle Name Meme! I was sorta getting jealous that Donny and Marie keep gettin' tagged for these memes and stuff, but now I get a chance to strut my stuff on the meme!

I'm sorry that it took soooooo long before I could do this meme, I had it all ready to go and then mommy wouldn't let us online for TWO WEEKS!! Let me tell you, there was a LOT of socks that grew legs and took over the house at every opportunity.... ;)

So, as you all know, my full name is Casey, Meezer Diva. I'm gonna choose Diva for the meme, but only because choosing Meezer....well, that's like a bean saying their middle name is Human.

Exactly.

So, here are the rules:

2. List one fact that is somehow relevant to you and your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.

D - Destiny. I am their Destiny. My mommy and daddy were chosen to love me and worship my meezerliness and encourage all their furriends to adore me without end. Even gma and gpa (my mommy's parents) can't help but love me!

I - Intelligence. I know I am the smartest of all of us (mommy and daddy included). I will work it and work it until in the end, I get my way. Sometimes, those ways do get a little extreme, like starving myself all day, or dragging dirty socks all over the house when mommy and daddy go away. But hey, whatever works, right??

V - Vengeance. When it's not what I want, I'm not like Marie, imposing my will willy-nilly. Instead, I go away and plot revenge! Then vengeance will be mine!

A - Adversity. I challenged it and beat the odds to get myself rescued and find my furever home.

Easy Like Sunday Morning (now that the mystery is solved)

Thank you everyone, you are all very, very kind to me when I was a bit panicked with my identity crisis. You are all very right, I am very happy to be a cat, and very proud to be a meezer. I was only very curious coz I always thought that I was chocolate point. Chocolate point sounds soooooo tasty. But the more I looked at my furriends who looked just like me, the more of them I realized that called themselves seal point.

So I really just wanted to know.

I liked what Daisy called my points: Beautiful-point. A beautiful-point siamese. That's pretty cool. I think from now on, when anyone asks, I will loudly assert that I am a beautiful-point siamese. All these colour point labels don't really matter anyhow.

Also, I want to thank China Cat for nominating me for da Schmooze Award. It's very beautiful, and it's a bit of a surprise, b/c I never really think of myself as much of a schmoozer. I have to say, over the years, I have been opening up more and more to pple and to kitty cats, so maybe I should change my mindset and be a schmoozer!

Gah! Still very hot out here, so I think I'm gonna go outside and take it easy now....

Identity Crisis

Huh? What?! Now I'm confused....

When they first got me, the rescuer and mommy and daddy all thought I was Tonkinese. Then I went on Catster and met some REAL Tonkinese cats and asked, and lots of kitties said I was Siamese. Or a Siamese cross. So okay, I can deal.

But now...after reading this post a while ago about Siamese points on Simply Siamese, I am confused. For years, I thought I was a Chocolate Point...well, because my points are the same colour as rich, dark, velvety colour of dark chocolate - wouldn't you agree???

But I see many of my fellow meezers who are similarly coloured call themselves Seal Point!! Help me - I'm have an identity crisis!! Please, do you know what colour points I actually have???

Hm...I wasn't even born back in the day.

I was spending lots and lots of time with mommy, coz she was still recovering from her transplant at the time.

Save other abused cats - esp meezers - as long as they don't live with me.
Make mommy and daddy stay home and be my full-time slaves. For real.
Get a force field so that I can hang out where I want without being bugged.
Buy only chicken-flavoured Science Diet dry food. I like it very much, but can't get it anymore! Mommy won't buy it for me!!!!
Donate to *all* my furriends' auctions and causes and help them with the vet bills and stuff.

Five bad habits:

I don't believe I have *any* bad habits...but since you ask, here's what mommy and daddy said as being my bad habits....

Dragging dirty socks around the house.
Sticking my stinky butt in mommy and daddy's faces.
Scratch the back of the armchair.
Shed fur. LOTS of it.
Demand attention and laps at the most (in)opportune times....

Going outside.
Demanding attention.

Rubbing my back on concrete.

I don't wear anything. It freaks me out and mommy just never dresses me up.

Marie's Gift

Marie got a gift yesterday from Coulee on Catster. It was her prize pack for winning 2nd place in the Mother's Day Photo Contest held by the Canadian Kitties Group.

I even had a chance to revel in the delights of the catnip pillow. It was very good stuff indeed.

Mommy said she could smell the catnip from a distance, and said it was SUPER-POTENT. I agree with her on the SUPER part, it sure was SUPER. I dunno what this other word is, so I'm just gonna ignore it.

Ahhhhhh....catnip......

Trouble Tuesday

When they came home from out of town a couple of weekends ago, they came home to this.

Not me, I said.

Really, it's not me, I tried to convince mommy.

Daddy, help!! Save me! It totally wasn't me!!! I implored.

Unfortunately, that didn't seem to take either. However, they didn't get mad at me or anything. They just seemed resigned to their fate of forever picking up dirty socks after me.....and that's all right with me.
